TeaFeathers Serpent Sketches

I’ve begun work on a TeaFeathers art book!  Thanks to my wonderful patrons over on Patreon, I’ve been able to start sketches and some finished art for a guide to the world of TeaFeathers between commissions.  My plan is for it to be laid out similarly to a tabletop player’s guide, with in depth artwork and writing of each faction, environments, creatures, cultural exploration and more.

Last month I worked on the Serpents, a native faction to the continent TeaFeathers is set on.  Serpent society is based around service to all spirits, and thus they don’t have a single patron spirit like other factions do. The bulk of their society is made of of commoners, their natural born form.  Any spirit can bless a serpent, and that spirits aspects become part of the physical attributes of the serpent.  So the fire spirit blessed serpent gets to look like a classic red Western dragon.  The tree spirit blessed serpent gets leafy scales and appendages.  The nimbus spirit blessed serpent gets long albatross-like wings, and an overall angelic look.  A dizzying variety of spirits interact with the serpents, making a pretty huge variety of magical elite within their society.  I figured three examples would be a good way to illustrated that without going to far.

This month I’m working on some of the Alecani/Pylura alliance factions, get WIPs and photoshop files of finished art work as a patron!
